
Ian Strange is Professor of Spatial Planning and Director of the Centre for Urban Development and Environmental Management (CUDEM) at Leeds Metropolitan University. He has research experience and interests within the areas of urban governance, arts and cultural policy, and conservation and the planning and development process.
His recent research has focused on heritage planning, historic environment policy, and the contribution of the arts and cultural industries to urban regeneration. He is currently a member of an EPSRC/English Heritage funded research cluster studying cultural values and the historic environment.
